When the printer/scanner/fax breaks down I am ultimately the person who troubleshoots and fixes the machine in question. It is imperative to be proactive about self-promotion in order to showcase your skills, achievements and personal brand. One consistent ad hoc duty for me throughout my career has been ‘maintenance woman’.

Each and every day will pass and you will get closer and closer to your goal. It could be anything, such as getting that promotion , helping others more, etc. F or example, if you want to make a million dollars before you die, write out exactly what you want and how you will achieve this. Keep it short and simple though. Whats next?

Obviously, you will get accolades from your employer such as promotions or bonuses but you should also make a point to reward yourself. Suggest ideas on how to acquire the same results or goal but from a different prospective. List short/long term goals When we have a clear outline of how our goals are reached we perform better.

Each day, we are on the court (workplace) implement “plays&# (making decisions) so that we can stay in the game (remain employed) and ultimately reach the championship to reap the rewards (promotion). Don’t let challenges deter you from your goal. Completing the steps to reach goals gets you to the reward.
