I arrange quite a few events and have realized the importance of reading and reviewing the contracts carefully, highlighting key dates. When I reviewed the invoice I noticed there was a guest on our bill who wasnt in our party so that amount got taken off. Once the invoice arrives you should check to make sure everything is accurate.

I use this all the time on my calendar and my boss's calendar, and it helps us both to know which events are phone calls which he can take in the office or on the road (yellow) or which events will require travel (blue). I put travel in red and action reminders in yellow, but that is our own system and it works for us.

Check with your boss and if agreed, unsubscribe from any unnecessary e-mails that may be cluttering their Inbox or create subfolders and drag and drop these e-mails there for your boss to check when he or she has the time to review them. Your role may be just to unclutter their Inbox so they can better manage the important items.

If he is travelling, I send it by e-mail, but it has been my experience that I will get better results with a face-to-face meeting. I have daily meetings with my boss so sometimes I print the e-mails that I have questions on and put it in a folder and then we go through each item and he lets me know what, if anything, I need to do.

When they are traveling, we remind them about club access in the airport or baggage insurance that the cardmember may have forgotten about as benefit readily available through their card. The messaging might say this particular customer travels extensively. It gives us a deeper connection and engages the customers more.
