They each took the initiative to get appropriate training and education to better equip them in the areas they were interested in. Administrative assistants are highly skilled in many areas and sometimes we take it for granted, not recognizing where we could go with our skills.

If the anger is an emotion derived from the consequences of a medical condition, the health care professionals can still maintain excellence in customer service by adhering to the following suggestions: Be attentive when the patient is speaking. Become an advocate for the patient and refer the patient to helpful resources.

It has always amazed me however that once someone becomes a President they start being referred to by their last name by the media and people in general. What is the proper etiquette when addressing or writing to a President? Here is a video link on the proper etiquette to address a President. Why do we not use their full name?

Here is some common-sense etiquette: Screen your calls: Subscribe to call display. However, I think our etiquette hasnt caught up with the technology. Other times we will be talking and I notice his eyes moving to his BlackBerry and I will see he is no longer paying attention to me, but reading emails instead. 23, 1 p.m.

I dont mind being referred to as someones assistant. My current boss always refers to me as his colleague, both to those within our company and to external contacts when referring them to me. I tend to use the term boss when I refer to my employer. My all-time favourite however is colleague. 411 Look Up 411.ca
