Skype allows meetings to take place in multiple locations around the world and the use of tablets means emails can be responded to anytime and anywhere (including the beach!). Not an ideal situation for either of you, especially if you’re on different time zones – the last thing you want is a panicked phone call in the middle of the night!

Both times I’ve replaced my phone as quickly as is humanly possible because I am just lost without it (sometimes I am literally lost without it thanks to my dependence on Google maps to get me about London!). Although I still do print everything off this is a great app to have on your phone so you can check your details on the go.

Whenever you receive confirmation emails from any bookings you can forward it to plans@tripit.com and they will add the details to the itinerary. Although I still do print everything off this is a great app to have on your phone so you can check details on the go. The app then sends you an email with their details.

One is the easier way, where you download a file; the other is the longer way. The reason I use the latter method is because our company policy is that we cant download any software that IT doesnt approve. To back up your e-mails in Outlook, simply download Microsofts Outlook Add-In file here.
