There were even some coworkers who loved the time that meetings took up in their day. Maybe it was because meetings were a form of escape from the day-to-day for them. I decided that a 30 minute meeting with myself every week would work wonders for me. I’d take notes and assemble meetings minutes from those notes.

I am, however, a big fan of apps that do one thing really well, and especially apps that do that and can scale up or down in the process. Less Meeting has helped me deal with meetings more effectively and efficiently — and it scales in a way that allows people to slowly adopt it without feeling overwhelmed.

It works well when it is a co-worker who sits closest to you, but depending on how your office is set up that might not be possible. If it is a planned time off then you can meet with your buddy and give them any instructions or information they will need to handle in your absence and any contact names and numbers. 5, 2010 at 12 p.m.

Does your boss ever organize a meeting behind your back? He will have a quick conversation with a staff member and set up a meeting, but not tell me anything about it.
