A print portfolio is useful in face-to-face meetings where you can physically present it in a three-ring binder or other professional format. But people who show up for a job interview ready to present their professional portfolio aren’t just saying they can do something – they’re proving it. Obviously, that’s false!

But let me flip this around for you and present another perspective. So let me put this to you: You’re presented with two candidates – the first is an EA who has been working in the same company for the last 10 years. Be upfront in your cover letter. So spell it out, even if you think it’s obvious.

Beside being a junior level EA and having multiple administrative support jobs in the past, I am not sure how I can present myself as a capable and competent EA.
