Private colleges may seem expensive but they offer many scholarships to help offset this cost. Some colleges offer scholarships.

You care less, you’re easily annoyed, you start to do a cost-benefit analysis, you feel resentful, and you feel short changed. State you’d love to be an EA and learn so much you can be promoted to coordinator, director, manager. Even asking to intern, shadow, or be mentored by someone well respected is a great first step.

1) The other person really does have a full time job and HR was being really honest and open with you about the interviewing process. 2) The other EA does/does not have a full time job and another issue is at stake here, but they don’t wish to disclose that. So why forego a full time job for a 2 year trial?

And as I climbed the admin ladder, when I got recruited for a project manager role, the person who referred me was also someone I had met when I was “just a temp” stuffing those thousands of envelopes. That one unassuming, non-meaty, first temp gig got me my first CEO EA job and eventually my promotion to project manager down the road.
