Sure, I worked on projects that contributed to the success of the organisation but I had many skills that were not used because nobody knew I had them and I didn’t proactively promote them. During the conference, we will have a session on confidence in the workplace, but let’s look at areas assistants can add value.

I worked hard at that job and was rewarded with a promotion to Account Manager in 2006, yay! Speaking with confidence on the phone and forwarding calls. Arranging catering and dealing with external suppliers. Gaining confidence when addressing board level Directors. The role also had some PA tasks but was mainly admin.
