Whenever I bring up the topic of professionalism in conferences and workshops, assistants – even at the highest levels – will tell me, “Oh, I know what you mean. Idea : Bring a “to read” file with you to meetings so that, while you’re waiting for people to arrive, you can stay productive. I’m professional.” Avoid wimpy handshakes.

Workshop I introduce my custom-designed post-it pad to help people layer their decisions and easily activate their incoming and inactive paper piles. Whenever I need to create a new training workshop or a new talk, I use Post-its to help me generate an outline. Thanks to Lisa Rothstein of The DaVinci Dilemma (TM). In my Power Office!

Her entrepreneurial pursuits, however, took a turn, and she was sentenced to 21 months in prison for filing false tax returns. The workshops became a safe space not only to develop her business, but also to connect with others who shared her experiences. It helps returned citizens build confidence. We’ve all made mistakes.

When I state them in a workshop or keynote I see heads nodding around the room. At one point I did this exercise and I found that I was spending over 30 minutes a day just on downloading and uploading files for my daily podcast! Why it that people relate to those statements so much that they share them consistently?
