Once you get your body to relax for a bit, your focus will be much more productive on what you have to accomplish. Taking a few slow, deep breaths in between can also help. Exercise can do wonders.

I am not sure if it would have changed the outcome, but at least I would feel confident that I flagged it for my boss. It is wise to take a moment and evaluate the situation.
