This is what we do: My husband monitors travel sites and email subscription services for super-cheap flights or error fares. Sometimes one of us travels for work and the other tags along. With us, travel is always interesting. Of course, the investment in travel goes well beyond money. I am not a flexible person.

As I write this, I’m sitting in a hotel room in Seattle preparing to head off for a week of travel. It doesn’t matter when travel takes place, it is disruptive. This disruption can wreak havoc on your productivity and can even carry over beyond your travel period if you don’t deal with it accordingly. A hairbrush.

Humour is a powerful stress reliever if done in good taste, but timing is everything. The funniest was the gym clothes. Its not that Im funny, because Im not, but I find a lot of things funny. Both of these positions were in the busiest offices I have ever worked in, but when the going gets tough, humour seems to abound!
