However, even after taking many classes on the various programs I still haven’t gotten any new tasks. How do I get a recommendation letter from my boss for a new job hunt without raising suspicion or improve my situation without my boss’ help? Happy job hunting and keep me posted!

It’s not so much about receiving a ‘certification’ as it is about what will be covered in a class or online course. How do I find out more about the World Class Assistant curriculum based designation and program? . Does Joan offer coaching sessions outside of the World Class Assistant program? The classes are held in Las Vegas.

I mentored other younger assistants. I started this blog while temping/job hunting and I was allowed to write or do personal side projects as long as it was not interfering with my work. Outside of work, I started to take classes at night (and even on the weekends). On Monday nights I went to hula class.

Often known has Generation Y, these young people for years have turned companies and recruiters inside out as they demanded jobs for more pay and more opportunities. With their technology skills and great social networking abilities, GenY ( born roughly between 1980-2003) previously have found employers willing to meet their expectations.

Sign up with the major job hunting sites with your resume and profile, join social network sites geared towards work, and meet with every temp agency in town just to be safe. Get as many recommendations on LinkedIn as you can and network with people and help them out. Know how to network and be helpful.

No one can really predict what the several years will bring in the job market, but it’s clear that everyone has to make more of an investment in their future.
