I logged onto my computer last week and put in my network password, then to open my Outlook account I had to put another password in for that. I keep mine in an encrypted Word file on my computer. I also have an encrypted file with various other important numbers like my and my husbands social security numbers and the like.

If that is not happening, schedule yourself in their calendar. Keep up to date on their calendar and look ahead to see what is coming up and what your boss might need to prepare for that. Put reminders in their Tasks or Calendar of anything you know is coming up with enough lead time so they will have time to complete it.

I use hanging file folders labelled from January through to December. My boss will give me items that he wants brought forward on certain dates and I just put it in the appropriate month he wants it with a note on it with the date, and sometimes time, he needs it by and it is as simple as that. I do this for each day of the week.

At one office I worked in we had a mail cart with slots for everyones mail, but it was filed First name, Last name. Each time I went to get my mail I would find my mail in the other Patricias slot or vice versa. the phone book, standard filing practices etc.) Im sure you know what Im talking about. The system I use is quite simple and has been around for a long time. Tried and True Method: I set up 12 hanging file folders labelled January through to December. I then put the items in a two-fold file folder with his calendar printed out on the one side and the items he will need for the day on the other side.
