Make an appointment - Don’t just hope you find the time to clean up, set a calendar entry and stick to it. Organizer ( paper or electronic) to enter to-dos, addresses or calendar data. Sort – everything into boxes/containers according to what needs to be done: file , shred, recycle , refer, toss, etc.

Files can be kept in open piles on a desk or in folders, according to your style. Use the RAFT template: refer it, act on it, file it or toss it. File it, if necessary. Eighty percent of filed papers are never looked at again. Record meeting information on your calendar, then toss the memo. Act on it immediately.

The only remaining big mess was the admin panel which wasn’t seeing its intended CSS and image files. A colleague recommended reinstallation of the wp-admin files. Not only did she remember the name of the antibiotic from four years previous, within 45 seconds she had pulled a copy of the prescription from her files. My mother has gotten things done by using heavily annotated paper calendars. That was just before my mother’s 78th birthday.

Specifically, my update didn’t find or recognize these three files: wp-includes/http.php wp-includes/pluggable.php wp-includes/Text/Diff/Renderer/inline.php All it took was a look through the 2.7 package to find these, after which I reuploaded each individual file. Then there are those clients who proudly display 14-year-old sites which they’ve never changed (go figure) since the original site files were ftp’d to the host’s server.
