How many times I have booked a meeting thinking the day was free, only to notice later that an all-day event was put in unnoticed at the top. I put travel in red and action reminders in yellow, but that is our own system and it works for us. There is a colour for travel, business, personal, etc., Another one I never use.

Before I left I went over my checklists a few times to make sure I had everything and it was stress free each day as I reviewed the lists and checked off the items to bring. I make travel arrangements, do desktop publishing (well, I usually get my sister to help me), organize events and now I am even going to be speaking at an Admin event in April (which I will pretend is sort of like teaching).Yes, Excellent material!

Check with your boss and if agreed, unsubscribe from any unnecessary e-mails that may be cluttering their Inbox or create subfolders and drag and drop these e-mails there for your boss to check when he or she has the time to review them. Do I have to make a reservation, book a boardroom, call someone or bring something forward?

Many days I am the only one in the office as our staff are all salesmen and women and on travels or working from home.

It can be as small as a little paperback book, or as big as a cookbook. Outlook also has an address book (Contacts) and many other wonderful features for busy professionals. If we have appts that are booked further out, I stick pin those to a magnetic cork strip, placed under the two calendars. Very well laid out.

That’s a key point and a very important question for every blogger who had been wrecked more than one keyboard writing. I have several ideas for book writing… the problem is putting me in that writing mode, it is the kind of task that eats a lot of time. But the most important part of the question is not “how” but “why”.

MacJournal Shortcut MacJournal also features a keyboard shortcut, so every time I feel my idea will be pretty close to a blog post (as opposed to other types of ideas, like blog post series, guest post ideas, strategies or just interesting bits and pieces) I use this shortcut directly. There has to be about 100 items in there already.

When I am putting together an editing report or when I am fact-checking – I often work on books that match subject areas I studied. I don’t care how you do it, campus, traveling or from home, but you WILL go. i would rather pay for a year of them traveling world and experiencing life than pay for one semester of college.
