Sometimes I find a simple procedure can be made more complicated than it really is so responded that a cut and paste from Excel to Word should do the trick. It worked and through explaining the process to her I added a column at the end of the table in Word by tabbing over, which automatically creates a new row. She was amazed.

And this was a man who could totally pull off words like Heidegerrian at the breakfast table. It’s fun, but it’s not like I sit at my keyboard, occasionally throwing my arms into the air and squealing, “Wheeeeeee! Exhibit C: Too Smart Mike T. Even Microsoft Word thinks every one of those words is a spelling error.
