Recently I have been so busy at work that I just didnt have time to get to the card shop to buy my usual box of cards so I have been trying to catch up and send belated cards out. To thank your boss for being supportive during a trying time. I sent another assistant a comical card about being stressed out at work.

I feel confident as I check off each item that things will be done on time. This does increase the preparation time, but on the day of the meeting it goes very smoothly with no stress. My favourite to-do list is a calendar timeline so I can see at a glance where I am at and what I need to do to get there. Thanks in advance!

There are times that I really want a paper trail and e-mail is great for that, but now I stop myself at times when an e-mail string has been going back and forth and getting more complicated with each new e-mail. Perhaps we put a lot of the stress on ourselves because we feel that every e-mail has to be replied to immediately.

The staff member writes you back, but you don’t quite understand it. Sure, there are times that e-mail is appropriate, such as when you need some sort of record from a client to fulfill their product order. You never know when someone would come back to you and tell you that they didn’t ask you to do a certain task.

In my particular field (Publishing), it can be very stressful when your boss asks you to fax something right away, since the time difference is substantial at times and you need to figure out how to decipher a fax number. I found a great website called Time and Date.com. There’s a really easy solution to this.

This is a typical work day for her: She comes in late EVERYDAY (not just a few minutes, but 15-25 minutes with an excuse for WHY shes late - traffic - and she lives 10 minutes away). The amount of skill, pressure, stress, and problem solving differs at each of those levels. A scary moment to share is one time I had 48 hours to pull off a major recruiting event in another country. Three weeks after, I still have a lot of fun reading those parts, although at that time all I wanted was to draw many, many little men named Steve Jobs and tear the drawings apart. I got this error at least a few hundreds times and at least half of times I was completely puzzled. Can be tricky at times. Wow, really?
