Another office raised almost $1,000 in a fundraising effort they organized. Agencies such as World Vision are on the ground now helping where they can.

One other thing I’d add for freelancing–and it’s either a pro or a con depending how you look at it–is that you need to build your network of freelancers through professional organizations, meetups or some other way. You should do this before taking the plunge. JB´s last blog. Don’t Quit…yet.

First, it’s a crappy way to organize content. Imagine if your library organized its books that way. Bloggers choose to be freelancers, yes, but that means we’re out of potential retirement plans governments and other organizations create for 9 to 5ers. It’s called a breach of Copyright. I think not.
