I wasn’t disappointed! The Hilton certainly know how to look after business travellers, everything is easy and stress free. Exactly what you want when you have travelled into the city for business meetings and just want to relax in your hotel after a long day. Advertised minimum rate per night $219 (January 2014). .

A few years I organised afternoon tea at T hreadneedles Hotel for my department’s Christmas party. We sat in the lobby area of the hotel, which might not sound very ground but you haven’t seen the Threadneedles Hotel lobby! Advertised minimum rate per night is £180 (September 2014). It is stunning.

The hotel is surrounded by really nice restaurants, shops, cafes and bars which makes it a perfect location if you are travelling over for business and do not have a car. In fact you probably wouldn’t want to return home. Advertised minimum rate per night $339 (January 2014). . The suite itself was stunning.

There aren’t many nice hotels near Time Square but The Hotel Casablanca certainly fits that description. I could definitely hear Time Square from my room but it wasn’t too bad. There wasn’t much room for suitcases either. Advertised minimum rate is $254 per person (April 2014).

The hotel is positioned right at the end of Carlisle Street, so you can’t really miss it. The hotel doesn’t have a bar or restaurant, which might be a deal breaker for some business travellers, but it does have a meeting space for up to 8 people. Advertised minimum rate per night is £153 (August 2014). .

To be fair I used to travel to university from St Pancras back in the early 2000′s and it was still a little rough around the edges but since then the area between two of London’s busiest train stations has changed completely. I know this isn’t a sexy feature but it is bloody useful! A great touch, I must say.

A perfect location for business travellers and tourists alike. It is nice to instantly feel comfortable in a hotel, especially when the weather is so utterly dreadful that you can’t really leave your hotel for longer than an hour before you freeze to death. I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to New York.

I did manage to escape work for long enough to pick up some groceries from the local supermarket with the intention of using the wonderfully equipped kitchen for some home cooking. Although I didn’t try the food, the menu looked very appetising. If your boss is travelling to London for longer than a few days I don’t think you could book a better serviced apartment. The location is perfect for the Executive to travel to the office and his family to explore the city.

I wasn’t disappointed. The complimentary Wi-Fi was faultless, which is always a bonus particularly for business travellers. There are so many good restaurants nearby that I don’t think many guests complain about the lack of dining options although it would be nice to have breakfast available within the hotel.

I know this area really, really well and yet I didn’t know there were 11 luxury serviced apartments literally opposite the last office I worked in before I moved to Barcelona. I really couldn’t believe that there were serviced apartments here, the entrance was shared with a pub! I was keen to see more.

After a few hours of mindless TV and napping (what can I say the duvet was just too inviting to ignore) I decided I wasn’t being very Parisian so I made my way to the bathroom where I took thorough advantage of the marble bath and a large glass of vin rouge. The little touches didn’t end there. That is what I call service!

I had just spent 2 months travelling around a freezing USA and although back in the UK my body was still a little cold, a little jet lagged and in serious need of some rest and relaxation. Within 5 second of being in the hotel I knew the service was going to be good and I wasn’t disappointed. I would definitely recommend TwoTwentyTwo for anyone travelling to and from Marylebone station or in the area on business. My lasting impression will be the food (for those that know me, this probably isn’t a surprise!)

Luckily I was staying at The Talbott, a hotel that didn’t mind checking me in at 8am. During the 10 minutes I had to wait for my room I was able to rest my travel weary body on one of the comfortable sofas next to the open fire in the lobby area. My initial assessment of the place wasn’t far off - the suite was fantastic.
