I temped here and there for a year. Finally, I got a job interview through the temp agency for a one-year contract. I ended up moving to an apartment downtown and walking to work, that's how close I lived to the office. Sometimes what we think we don’t want, ends up being exactly what we need.

Being a member is not only a great place for networking, but for mentoring and learning of jobs in your area. Don’t underestimate the value of temping. That may not be what you want an employer to know?

I have no idea how long "temp" is considered before they would offer the permanent position. It feels like a bait and switch and there are no guarantees.
