The system I use is quite simple and has been around for a long time.

Creating a filing system can be tricky, as you need to know exactly how to file your files and what type of information you would need to be able to access quickly. One of my readers asks: I am trying to organize a file room based not on traditional alphabetical filing, but on a retrieval system. as you mentioned in your question.

I have a similar system with my boss. I put travel in red and action reminders in yellow, but that is our own system and it works for us. but I don't use that system or know what the colours mean. I am not a legal expert and do not claim to give any legal advice. January 16, 2010 Patricia said.
