Here are some reasons I think managers can get possessive: Im not sure I can trust you. A manager has to have confidence that you know how to do your job. I never wanted to be a manager.

People have to learn that they are not the only ones that need things to get done quickly. If they prompt you to get it done right away (if this is not your immediate supervisor), make sure to let your manager know. They are there to help, since they are managing you. One of the simplest things you can do to help the manager of your dream firm decide if you are right for the job, is to send them a Thank You letter after the interview. But you would be surprised that a simple Thank You letter can win over the hiring manager. Did you attend a few recently? We both had similar skills, education, etc.

One person can be great at software programs and know all sorts of tricks to get things done quickly and another might be excellent at organizing and managing their email account. I have been on some interactive sites where assistants ask questions and get answers and I learn from them as I have some of the same questions.
