I did very well on my interviews and it's down to me and one other EA who already has a full time job. The staffing agent asked if I was open to temp to perm, even though the position was for a full time EA, he feels the CEO may need time to see if it is a good fit. It feels like a bait and switch and there are no guarantees.

She often lists all associations in the back of her publication and has a wide network across the globe of resources for administrative professionals. (JF). When you interview for new jobs, do your yearly job performance reviews, network, or whenever appropriate, make it clear you have bigger goals. The point is to assist them but not just pick up their drying cleaning and walk their dog, but to manage their life and schedule as close to a regular EA job.

Tell us your story on how you went from temping in LA to being the EA of high-profile CEOs. I found every single one of my jobs through a temping agency or by referral. I learned through informational interviews that I should apply to temp agencies. So I left that temp gig and went to work for the CEO.

I also thought long and hard about why I was so unhappy and stressed at my job and why I had growing resentment.

Get as many recommendations on LinkedIn as you can and network with people and help them out. Know how to network and be helpful.
