I always synch all of my files from my main Mac computer in my home office to Dropbox so that I am sure to have all of them handy while on the road by using the app on my phone and tablet. I have a data package on my phone and tablet so I can work from anywhere regardless of Wifi. It is worth the extra expense. Stay hydrated!

This app is slightly expensive but worth paying for if your manager travels a lot. The app also gives access to real-time departure information, delays and gate numbers. Although I still do print everything off this is a great app to have on your phone so you can check details on the go. Meetup Time Lite: Free.

Both times I’ve replaced my phone as quickly as is humanly possible because I am just lost without it (sometimes I am literally lost without it thanks to my dependence on Google maps to get me about London!). Make sure that tasks directly associated with clients come first, consider the financial impact of a project and its completion date on the company, don’t let deadlines control the priority list (expense reports can wait when there are more important tasks), and consider cause and effect (do A to enable B, which accomplishes C).
