If I had to make a list of all of my favourite office technology and software Microsoft Excel would most certainly be missing from the top ten (urm… it probably wouldn’t make the top 100). I would then have to input them all into a crappy spreadsheet when really I wanted a fancy piece of software that did the job for me.

I spent a lot of time researching computers, printers, software, online services, microphones, headsets… you get the picture. It looked expensive, but after sitting in it for an hour or so my back began to ache and when I’d get up to move around my knees complained. These chairs are expensive! But my chair? I’m not kidding.

The Voice Recognition software is better than anything I have experienced. Unlike a GPS database (which is never complete and requires expensive annual updates), the internet is always up to date and lists everyone! KEYBOARD: I always wanted a physical keyboard. DROID has it. The keys are flat and take getting used to.

Make sure that tasks directly associated with clients come first, consider the financial impact of a project and its completion date on the company, don’t let deadlines control the priority list (expense reports can wait when there are more important tasks), and consider cause and effect (do A to enable B, which accomplishes C).
