No meeting multitasking: It’s inappropriate to multitask during meetings – for example looking at your phone. It is also very bad form to carry on working while on a call; everybody will realise your mind is elsewhere and hear the incriminating clatter of your keyboard.

Office Equipment. I’m a big advocate of assistants having their own office equipment such as a photocopier, printer and shredder. We deal with confidential material all day and it can be awkward sharing equipment with other members of staff. I wasn’t that silly for long! Other bits and bobs. Other bits and bobs.

At the end of the day, your desk should have little more on it than your computer, keyboard, mouse pad, phone, and perhaps a framed photograph of a loved one. That doesn’t mean you won’t have clutter pile up through the day, but it’s how you begin your next work session that matters.

I was taken on a tour of the premises and they pointed out the office equipment I would need to use and introduced me to everyone we met. I basically know how to answer the phones and take messages. There were charges for audio visual equipment that we never ordered. There is value in getting to know people, even if it is just over email or the phone. Let your fingers do the walking: Quick keyboard sh. When I reviewed the invoice I noticed there was a guest on our bill who wasnt in our party so that amount got taken off.

I felt if we were prepared and equipped to do our jobs, it could seem like we were laughing all the way to work.but I also like to have fun at work too.
