I hated the mental stress and burden of putting everyone else first and getting only the usual thank you’s and words of appreciation. I would also volunteer at work and socialize with my co-workers during the holiday gift wrapping parties. I will temp and enjoy the downtime to spring clean and read for personal/intra self improvement.

Try to set up the communication of the office so your boss checks their own emails and responds, but you are in charge of all the mtg coordination, phones, and anything that happens in the office. If you are out sick, a temp will have to sub for you. Should you be brainstorming business gifts for the holidays?

I learned through informational interviews that I should apply to temp agencies. So I left that temp gig and went to work for the CEO.
