You’d lose a crucial part of your life (and your income, if your writing forms all or part of your paid work). I love that I get emails and comments telling me that a blog post came at just the right time. Writing is a form of communication, and there’s a person on the receiving end. I love the magic of words.

No matter what you do, there will always be folks who feel you’re whoring yourself out in some form or another, but if it works, I don’t have a problem with it. Then, text information can be in the form of web pages/blog posts, PDF ebooks, forum posts, wikis, etc. Teleseminars/webinars. You have private RSS feeds.

Here's a tip: you talk to, email several people a day. 1) Send an email response. 2) Turn your email into a blog post - at least 250 words, spell-checked and edited. (3) 6) 1 podcast + 1 pdf of the article = 1 product. The list itself could be one. Any other item could become another article. Let the articles begin.

It was free because it was idle; it wasn’t supposed to be the sort of business expertise that many companies would shell out good money for in the form of a consultant. When their readers don’t actually know what they do, because they never visit the site, they simply open Google Reader or their email for the RSS feed.
