My scanner serves all these purposes -- scan a document in and you can then e-fax it over the internet, print out a copy, edit it directly through OCR software, save it as a PDF and toss the paper. I travel by car to see many of my clients, in their homes. I cant live without Quickbooks Pro with the cloud document management app.

If I’m in the zone working on something (as I am now, in a Word document) and I’m suddenly reminded of a task I need to add to my to-do list, I’d have to click out of my current application, click into my task management system, determine the right place to log this item, perhaps complete some other unnecessary parameters (like due date, etc.)

You answer the phone, book travel, offer beverages to guests, book meetings, prepare the conference room, order food, etc. If you have to purchase stuff for your boss - ask to xerox the credit card, both front and back now. If you want to be CEO or CFO maybe offer to help on budgets, financials, and with Excel documents.
