I also handle his executive calendar and work in the office with him. It may take some time to gain self awareness, self reflection, and self management skills, but over the years I’ve come to know a few things about myself that most likely will not waiver. I mentored other younger assistants. How did I learn this?

Right now I just put things on his calendar and order food. And as I was working, job hunting and/or temping, I had to find other sources of happiness. This was mostly as a temp during very slow months when the entire industry was on vacation, but I’m sure the paycheck wasn’t as amazing as yours. Many thanks! I feel your pain.
