I would love to take some courses but being out in the west it is hard because most of them are located in Toronto and travel is a hard one to sell for my position. Although your title is Executive Assistant, in reality, your job hunt will reflect that of an executive in years of experience, salary, and specialty. When recruiters have to hire someone ASAP little things get overlooked - such as the person doesn't know how to use a MAC. This comes in handy for three reasons. Everyone is busy.

Also, ask in a manner so they know you would love the rec sometime in the next 2-3 weeks, not ASAP. I also include my personal business card with my name, cell number, email address, and city, state, and USA printed on it since I do travel overseas sometimes. I also urge you to get more than one rec from a role or company.
