Here are some tips as your career progresses that will affect how you job hunt. The lower-level admin you are the more jobs there are. Your job hunt will take a lot longer. The higher up you go on the ladder of admin roles, the longer your job hunt will take. Job hunt with focus.

How do I get a recommendation letter from my boss for a new job hunt without raising suspicion or improve my situation without my boss’ help? Short of that, looking for a new job elsewhere is your second best bet. While you have a job, recruiters are much happier to steal you away to their company instead.

It is known that age only plays a factor because the more years you have worked for a company the more expensive an employee is because of their salary, overtime, and other perks/benefits that are considered in the overall compensation package (401k matching, retirement, etc).
