The staffing agent asked if I was open to temp to perm, even though the position was for a full time EA, he feels the CEO may need time to see if it is a good fit. I have no idea how long "temp" is considered before they would offer the permanent position. It feels like a bait and switch and there are no guarantees.

It says a lot when your boss wants to grow you within the company and promote you. I would also volunteer at work and socialize with my co-workers during the holiday gift wrapping parties. I also started a book club, a meet up group, went to networking events, book lectures, and now I am very much into Yelp and Yelp events.

It’s a contradiction in that we want to use the vehicle to promote ourselves, but that same vehicle is used for piracy. In the Quebec music industry, I tend to see many artists helping each other out, playing together, promoting events together… truly joining together to be one group of people who believe in what they do.
