The staffing agent asked if I was open to temp to perm, even though the position was for a full time EA, he feels the CEO may need time to see if it is a good fit. I have no idea how long "temp" is considered before they would offer the permanent position. What did they learn? How long do you think is fair?

So, it's best to search for temporary, short-term admin work via temping, volunteering, applying for part time work so you have something to put on your resume. It says a lot when your boss wants to grow you within the company and promote you. For me, and this may or may not be the case with you, I learned I was bored, unhappy, stretched too thin, and I was neglecting myself. How did I learn this? I learned I need a vacation ASAP. I love being an EA.

Whenever I meet people for coffee or a meal, I am always interested to learn about them as a person and their work. I love doing informationals because I like learning about what people do, even if I am not in that industry, and perhaps get an office tour down the line, and make a new friend if they introduce me to someone else.

It’s a contradiction in that we want to use the vehicle to promote ourselves, but that same vehicle is used for piracy. I saw E.Gilbert’s TED talk shortly before I learned I suffered from Bipolar Disorder and what she said resounded so true it was scary. It’s funny. And I like me. Pay per view. Félicitations!
