In London, I met my husband-to-be (now ex) and I ended up retiring and moving to the Caribbean for 5 years. I worked and temped at various places in general administrator/secretarial roles until I found a job where I really felt I could make a difference. I got married, moved countries (with a cat) and had a baby in 9 months!

And as I was working, job hunting and/or temping, I had to find other sources of happiness. This was mostly as a temp during very slow months when the entire industry was on vacation, but I’m sure the paycheck wasn’t as amazing as yours. Your health and sanity should not be compromised. It also looks bad on one’s resume.
