Meeting other assistants who work near by, who share the same suppliers, hotels, restaurants etc. Previous to this I worked in such roles as Secretary to a group of Consultants, Marketing Assistant for an Architect firm, Facilities Coordinator for a construction company and Purchase Ledger for NHS Legal department just to name a few.

Especially the "I've landed' cell phone calls ;) Would also suggest 'not' multitasking with email, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Unless you're a brain surgeon on call, surely you can be unavailable for a half an hour while you, and everyone else in the restaurant (see #1) enjoy your dinner.

Always get the persons permission and never post someone elses photo on a social networking site such as Facebook without asking the person first. I am not a legal expert and do not claim to give any legal advice. Smile you are on candid camera: Just because you can take a picture with your phone, doesnt mean you should.

The nice thing about on-line sites is for the most part they are free, but what they dont charge in fees they can take up in time, as many of us have experienced with sites such as Facebook. I am not a legal expert and do not claim to give any legal advice. You can spend a lot of time in front of your computer.
