A well organised travel itinerary is an essential service that assistants can provide for their managers. Think about all the different bits of paper you have to keep with you – tickets, hotel details, travel guides. One of my directors travelled from Sydney to Tokyo on the same trip.

Don’t get me wrong they still travel for Board meetings and client engagement but they don’t get on a flight simply because there are no alternatives to getting everyone together. Pros: Multiple locations across all time zones. Once the initial cost of equipment has been paid teleconferencing is inexpensive.

Both times I’ve replaced my phone as quickly as is humanly possible because I am just lost without it (sometimes I am literally lost without it thanks to my dependence on Google maps to get me about London!). Here are a few of my favourites: Travel. I use the website all the time so it is helpful having the app on my phone.

One of the reasons I became a Virtual Assistant was the flexibility to allow me to travel for longer periods of time, I now have the freedom of being able take my laptop and work from any location around the world. This may sound obvious but check time zones before you go to ensure you operate as you would from home.
