Some have even gone above and beyond to personally mentor her throughout her time as an Executive Assistant – and now, Executive Business Partner! And I’ve had amazing mentors along the way. So I was very blessed in my roles that I’ve had with my C suite, that they were mentors to me. So here I am.

I was interviewed earlier this month and so I pasted it below. When people would ask me in interviews, my first answer was, “No nepotism here!” I learned through informational interviews that I should apply to temp agencies. Can you fit in a creative, free flowing environment or a structured corporate environment?

When you interview for new jobs, do your yearly job performance reviews, network, or whenever appropriate, make it clear you have bigger goals. State you’d love to be an EA and learn so much you can be promoted to coordinator, director, manager. 2) Make it clear you have bigger goals. Almost every job has an admin element to it.
