Tell us your story on how you went from temping in LA to being the EA of high-profile CEOs. I found every single one of my jobs through a temping agency or by referral. I learned through informational interviews that I should apply to temp agencies. So I left that temp gig and went to work for the CEO.

It says a lot when your boss wants to grow you within the company and promote you. I would also volunteer at work and socialize with my co-workers during the holiday gift wrapping parties. I was willing to work hard and in a demanding environment, but I was specific with what I wanted. I mentored other younger assistants.

It’s a contradiction in that we want to use the vehicle to promote ourselves, but that same vehicle is used for piracy. I think it’s good to change, to reconnect and adapt to whatever environment you fall into. Just look at our environment: nighttime, no sun, the moon. It’s funny. Daytime, the sun, no moon.
