For example, I set up a sales dial-in call with about 40 people from every continent on the call. I sat at my kitchen table watching my phone blow up while people were emailing and IM’ing me all at the same time wanting to know why they couldn’t get on the call. So far the only mistakes I’ve made have been minor.

I invited half a dozen people but the word spread like wildfire and almost the entire product and engineering team showed up a little after 5:30pm. The tip she sent me was how to edit an email that you have received. Close out of the email and you will be asked to Save the changes.

Another time I was trying to find a full-serve gas station to fill up, but there was nothing to be found. It was expensive,but when I brought it home I had to do all the work to get it up and running. He loved it and I believe ended up doing his job better because of it. Do not ignore their emails or calls when they follow up asking about status or the final outcome. Call them, send an email, and speak with them in person.
