The easiest example for these digital products is an ebook. If you are an experienced writer on your blog, you wouldn’t find it difficult to write an ebook. But digital products are not limited to ebooks. As for the ebooks, I already wrote 4 ebooks and all 4 are still selling. It’s also familiar.

In January 2010 I wrote an entire ebook based on this post (an ebook which still sells, by the way) and in February I created the printed version of that ebook. It still gets a few hundreds visits every day and to date, is the only post on my blog with more than 1000 retweets. The printed version is available on Amazon.com.

Understanding that most of my fears in this area were irrational or exaggerated, seeing that my communication style basically made me invisible and was sabotaging any chance I had of getting ahead, I decided to develop the skills and attitudes that would allow me to communicate honestly. Although my non-compete agreement was a little bit tougher, preventing me from starting something again on the same market, I somehow managed to keep my business network alive. It’s more like a networking event. Looking back (without anger, of course) this proved to be a very good thing to do. They have a lower tolerance to risk.

The benefits included a renewed confidence in my writing, massive amounts of ideas for articles, and a honing of my skills. It started as a 30 day trial, to see what I would get out of it. So I stuck with it because it made my life better. Another example: for the past 21 days, I’ve gotten out and gone for a walk every day.
