When I was a graduate student, I was mildly surprised to learn that a thesis statement could expand into an entire thesis. If it's nonfiction, then you have an audio course, an ebook and a print book as an end result. I take my best content and turn it into workshops and allow people to play with and I hope learn from the ideas.
