Here are some reasons I think managers can get possessive: Im not sure I can trust you. A manager has to have confidence that you know how to do your job. I never wanted to be a manager.

I did manage to find a site that has seminars listed for all of USA, if thats where you are writing from. This definitely helped my position. I am sure that this will definitely help quite a few readers. Just a seminar with great information on how to be the BEST Executive Assistant to the President/ CEO.

This happens to me quite often, since I help about 30 people, including 6 managers. I know that you might have a large workload to deal with, but this will definitely help. Its either dead quiet or everyone needs you all at the same time.

Work is work, which can definitely be fulfilling, which I have to admit, is great in my life. I started with helping at a drop-in centre at a Salvation Army location, where other colleagues and one of my managers would serve lunch to people that were down on their luck. Up until recently, I too felt this way.

Being a male administrative assistant has its ups and downs, but the ride is definitely exiting and fulfilling. I will definitely check out your blog as well for more ideas. I found that my job transformed into a sudo management position with a great amount of responsibility. I never found it weird or uncomfortable.
