Here is some common-sense etiquette: Screen your calls: Subscribe to call display. There is a good purpose for them and they are definitely useful in a business setting. However, I think our etiquette hasnt caught up with the technology. I usually snap my fingers and say "Hey, over here!" We joke about it, but it is distracting.

Make sure your resume is up to scratch: Your resume should list your skills, your experience in working as a virtual assistant, and any other capabilities that you think potential employers are looking for. Alternatively, you can list yourself with other online placement sites as well.

Polish up the ol resume It is all right to send your resume out and see what kind of response you get. In this new age of not doing anything more than a quick spell check on documents, make sure you do not have any spelling mistakes in your resume. Job satisfaction is important. They are interested, now what?

What is the proper etiquette when addressing or writing to a President? If you ever have an opportunity to meet him, you should call him Mr. President or Sir and if you are writing correspondence you would write Dear Mr. Like everything else nowadays, if you want answers to just about anything -- Google it.

Click on that and you will find a wealth of templates from a resume, cover letter, minutes, agenda and many others. Whoever had the idea to put the templates on their site should pat themselves on the back. Once you log on click on the tab Productivity and you will see on the right Templates.

It will definitely be added to My Favourites on the side bar of the blog under Spelling. This time I came up with a site called Karens Linguistics Issues. It gives the proper spelling for British, Canadian and American words and is very user friendly. By the way, behaviourial is spelled this way in Canada.

If I am told that I should have it in the next few weeks, or can expect to receive it in a couple of months, that doesn’t really help me with my follow up as it is not a definite date. I can only guess when I might get it. I would prefer they say you will have it by March 4th. That I can track. Dates are important.
