You care less, you’re easily annoyed, you start to do a cost-benefit analysis, you feel resentful, and you feel short changed. State you’d love to be an EA and learn so much you can be promoted to coordinator, director, manager. This is one of the main reasons why I endorse temping and working thru recruiting and placement agencies.

Tell us your story on how you went from temping in LA to being the EA of high-profile CEOs. I found every single one of my jobs through a temping agency or by referral. I learned through informational interviews that I should apply to temp agencies. So I left that temp gig and went to work for the CEO.

When we were a smaller agency, I was the EA and Office Manager for a smaller facility. I'm really interested in progressing and developing my skills but feel that managing the office is hindering my ability to focus on the core of being an EA. Do you want to manage people or actually do the work? Why do I bring this up?
