Tailor your covering letter and CV. I’ve written posts on both covering letters and resumes so all I would add here is that you should tailor your CV and covering letter for each of the jobs you are applying for. Good luck with your job hunt! Totally unfair but totally true!

My company has now recently started 'cost savings initiatives'. link] You mention your company is doing a cost savings initiative and you know you are paid more than the other EAs there. Look for a job CONFIDENTIALLY. State that on your resume, in your cover letter, over the phone, and don’t tell anyone at work.

But in reality – the most useful skill that opened a lot of doors for me were my soft skills. 1) Do you have the admin skills to be an EA?
