Grow & learn; read, talk to mentors, attend training or a conference, watch webinars, etc. Adapting to professional change shows professionalism and confidence. I may not have control of his thoughts, but I had control over how I reacted and my confidence. Maybe it’s time to find a better career match.

If the company won’t fund your efforts, look for free webinars or podcasts online that provide experts to expand your knowledge. Your resume should always be able to reflect that you’ve kept up on the latest training and skills. Find a mentor. Update (or build) your resume. Be the dumbest person in the room. I love #10.
