There is a local chapter for IAAP but I don't find it to have the content and structure that I'm looking for. Perhaps after some smart negotiating you can have it worked into the budget for future years. I am trying to find a local networking association. I've been a member and have attended these meetings). Toastmasters!

I knew we were going to go back to that city the next year so negotiated with the hotel that if I booked the next event at their venue would they waive the cancellation fee. Negotiation As you saw above, negotiation is possible. Fortunately, they were able to waive it and we only lost our $500 deposit. It is always worth asking.

Your internal voices will start telling you: “nothing good will come out of this, because you didn’t respond with kindness”. And, depending on how powerful your script is, those internal voices can be pretty strong. Fact is that even if your internal script was broken, the outside reality was modified in your favor.
