I love working in admin, but I have been stuck in this dead end job for more than a few years now without a raise. I also haven’t been growing or learning anything new since Day 1 because my boss won’t give me projects. However, even after taking many classes on the various programs I still haven’t gotten any new tasks.

We had an incredible webinar event with over 1,300 assistants registered to learn more about why, as an administrative professional, they should consider a career certification. It’s not so much about receiving a ‘certification’ as it is about what will be covered in a class or online course. The classes are held in Las Vegas.

For me, and this may or may not be the case with you, I learned I was bored, unhappy, stretched too thin, and I was neglecting myself. How did I learn this? However, after I’m in a role for 2-3 years I’ve learned the ins and outs of my new boss, role, job, dept, and company. On Monday nights I went to hula class.
On The Job

Roberta, Hopefully, everyone -- no matter the age -- will learn important lessons such as being more resourceful, networking and being resilient. We can learn so much from history, but as soon as things start to do well again, we seem to forget everything we learned. At least they will be that way for a couple of years!
