Along with our multiple work passwords, we have a password for our home computer, and if we sign up for Facebook, Twitter or any other website, we have another password to remember. I hope you keep your address book locked up as that would be a very valuable source of information for someone up to no good. Works so far!

I use hanging file folders labelled from January through to December. Every afternoon before I leave for the day, I go through the hanging file for that month to see if there is anything I need to bring forward for the next day. A tip she passed along had to do with the bring-forward system and has been a great tool for me.

Keep up to date on their calendar and look ahead to see what is coming up and what your boss might need to prepare for that. Keep an organized filing system and file list.

Once a date is finalized I put it in my bosss calendar and confirm the meeting with the other participants. When a meeting is finalized, I put the scheduling sheet in a completed file. At one office I worked in we had a mail cart with slots for everyones mail, but it was filed First name, Last name. I grew up in a world that used Last Name, First Name (i.e. the phone book, standard filing practices etc.) This goes for filing and also how your contacts are ordered in Outlook. Well here is one of my Grrr!
